Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Extremely disappointed on arrival into room, window that wouldn't close, dirty bath mat, bin in bathroom full of dirty tissues, stain on bedsheet, long hair in bed, very poor lighting for putting make-up on, shelf fell on floor, toilet roll holder fell off, scalding hot water, dirty carpet looked like it had not been hoovered. Breakfast very greasy.

This is a swingers hotel over the weekends, so if you have kids or its not your thing, don't book over a weekend! The owners will contact you on friday & tell you they are overbooked. Try the Bamford, thats where tourist information will send you.

We booked a 2 day trip 2 blackpool to finish off our holiday . Booked online and the hotel is nothing like the pictures this is a false impression. When i read reviews i think people never say anything good but honestly there is nothing good about this hotel. I have 2 young kids 7 and 2 and when i arrived the floors were dirty they were smoking in the living area . There was a great big dobberman dog there that was as big as a horse and my 7 year old is scared of dogs it is also in the area that you have breakfast. When we arrived the owner then told my husband it was a swingers hotel and they had busy seasons as they held swingers partys thats prob why all those other people have had there bookings cancelled. No soap also the only bed and breakfast i have ever known to not make your beds for you. I actually think the place should be closed down and think health and hygiene should visit. The owner was serving breakfast in the same dirty clothes as the night before . I want looking for much but clean and tidy and what it said on the tin. This hotel is none of them should be called Torchwood and burn down .

This hotel doubles as a swingers hotel connected to a swingers club, it's also up for sale, cancelled room on arrival as no one was there, might aswell be closed.
Leave well alone book else where, lots of nicer places in the area.

Arrived late on Friday night to be told there was only one room with one bed to sleep 3 of us. Chris, the owner could not have been more unhelpful if he tried. The room was barely a glorified cupboard which looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the last royal wedding.First we had to pile the furniture in the corner just to make some room. There was a hole in the floorboards covered in carpet beside the bed and the toilet pan was built into the wall. What passed for an electric shower took a degree in astro physics to get warm water out of. The following morning saw our first and last visit to the "dinning room". After sitting for ten minutes we had to ask for a cup of tea. Eventually we got breakfast. OMG easily the worst cooked breakfast ive ever seen. No one in our crowd could eat even half of it. Needless to say no one went for breakfast the next day. On Sunday I noticed that Chris was still wearing the same clothes he was wearing on the Friday night when we had arrived. They looked like he had just serviced a bus in them and he had cooked the breakfast in them as well. As I was leaving on Sunday I lifted a brochure, to my surprise I never recognized one picture from the hotel we stayed at, they have clearly taken pictures from another hotel (no wonder). The hotel is unclean, unhygienic and in a very poor state of repair. If you book this hotel you have been warned.
