Just a one night stay purchased as part of a Christmas gift for my 91year old Mum. Fabulous Travelzoo deal which included breakfast and a delicious cream tea on arrival. We were given a Lake view room on booking which proved to be absolutely stunning with a double windowed aspect giving glorious views from the front and to the side....

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for two nights, the room was lovely with views of the beautiful grounds and lake. We ate on both nights and food was great. Breakfast was also excellent with a variety of choices. The lounges were very comfortable and relaxing with lovely log fires. All the staff were absolutely first class, very...

We got a Groupon deal for this wonderful hotel and travelled from Kent for a little weekend break. From the start the service was faultless. We were shown to the most beautiful room in the old part of the building by a pleasant member of reception. We were a little worried that we would be given a second rate room...

I stayed at this hotel recently for a short break. The service, room, food were all fantastic. The hotel is in beautiful grounds overlooking the lake. Although we did not have the premium view, our ground floor room had a small patio overlooking the beautiful gardens. The staff could not do enough for us. We had 2 dogs who had...

We loved our stay here, and the evening meal was just fabulous, as was the service throughout!! We had a really nice room with a lake view, the grounds were really nice and to be able to get right down to the lake side was great. A real treat!

Been going to Cragwood for many years and always a 5 rating but this time I have to rate a 4. Sorry guys... Why? Fixed menu versus daily menu changes for evening meal, meant that went out for dinner on our third night as we were bored of the original menu. The change of leadership has resulted in a a...

An understated gem of a country house hotel, respectfully extending the Arts and Crafts original, and with a restored interior retaining numerous original features. Absolutely charming. Non-residents are accepted and we went for Sunday lunch. Excellent four course meal, staff who were genuinely friendly and interested, fascinating gardens and amazing views. Very quiet, very relaxed, very highly recommended. We shall...

Our son bought us this cream tea and 1 night stay deal on a Groupon voucher. We were allocated room 18 with a side view of the lake but also overlooking the small wooded area with its abundant birdlife and squirrels. We had our cream tea which was excellent and well-presented with every berry known to man on the plates!...

Thank you for you recent review on Tripadvisor. The rooms on the South side of the hotel have lovely views towards the gardens and woods. As well as squirrels and birds these rooms give you the best chance of spotting deer running through the grounds. Our chefs are delighted to hear about your kind comments about their menus and would...
