Invited to stop by Mark & Emma , Excellent location ,Excellent hosts, would recommend to anybody who is looking to stop in the Windermere Area. From arriving to departing was fully looked after . Rooms clean, Breakfast 1st class, can't fault them on anything.
Exceptionally clean property, clearly a much loved home, great hosts, comfy beds, breakfast - minus the grease was fab. Stayed just for two nights, would highly recommend. Ideal location for getting into Windermere and Bowness.
Nice hotel, very clean, situated in the middle of Windermere and bowness, nice breakfast and good host. I would definitely return when we go back. Lots to do and see, pubs, bars, restraunts and boat tours

Yes there are lots of places to eat but i would suggest you book in advance to avoid being disapointed. My partner and i ended up getting a take away after trying to get into several establishments only to be told they were fully booked. There is a pub in Bowness that is value for money and serves good pub grub if thats what you are looking for its called The Stags Head its right on the waters edge next to a Hotel called Mcdonald Old England Hotel and Spa (We thought the prices were a bit steep in here).I have reviewed both of these establishments on Tripadvisor.Hope this helps but as always it's a matter of personal preference.
