We visited for a weekend in early December and cannot fault anything about the coach house. The room was beautifully decorated and a really good size, the bed was comfy and the sheets of very good quality. The coachhouse is spotlessly clean and breakfast is delicious! I also

Are there any pubs and eating places nearby
Hello Yes there are lots of places to eat but i would suggest you book in advance to avoid being disapointed. My partner and i ended up getting a take away after trying to get into several establishments only to be told they were fully booked. There is a pub in Bowness that is value for money and serves good pub grub if thats what you are looking for its called The Stags Head its right on the waters edge next to a Hotel called Mcdonald Old England Hotel and Spa (We thought the prices were a bit steep in here).I have reviewed both of these establishments on Tripadvisor.Hope this helps but as always it's a matter of personal preference.
