This lovely Victorian hotel has everything you need for a relaxing break.the staff are amazing especially the waiters.the food is good with several choices. Very fast service too.Our twin room ( 19 ) is on the ground floor at the back so no view as such. It is situated at the top of a hill so you get your excersize....

Booked in to this hotel on Saturday night the 18th February for 1 night. The older grey haired woman with glasses on, on the reception gave us parking bay 24 at an additional £5 charge. It was the furthest away parking. space even though she had a handful of parking cards in her hand. Can I also add that she...

Lovely hotel very warm and friendly. Could not fault any of the staff. Food was excellent and being diabetic chef catered for me well. Our room was on the ground floor which was helpful as I am a wheelchair user. Sadly the room was useless for me and the bathroom. I was told they had just one room for the...

Went here on 10/02/2017 on a Shearings break. Nice hotel, food was probably one of the best out of the numerous Shearings hotels I've been in. Very friendly and helpful staff.clean and warm rooms. Close to the town centre.

Just returned from four nights at The Windermere and I dare not get on the scales! I am a pretty fussy eater, but the food there was excellent and every night I eat all three courses, which were beautifully presented and served by polite professional staff. I will be returning.

We stayed in Windermere slightly out of season and so it was a bit miserable outside. Inside this beautiful hotel however it was warm, friendly and welcoming. All of the staff were chilled out and seemed to enjoy their roles which came across right from the start. The hotel is very well kept and the decor, especially in the bar/lounge...
