Arrived for a weekend away Room nice enough although not plush. The bathroom was a let down and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast nice and fresh The cost for a bed and breakfast seems high The location isn't bad but it's in the middle of a housing estate Walking to either bowness or Windermere takes around 15/20 mins. We only...

From stepping in this quirky B and B me and my husband felt right at home. Checked in and offered a cup of tea and slice of home made cake....carrot and it was to die for! No rush what so ever we say back enjoyed our food and then we're taken to the loft room, which I'm sorry I can't...

This was my second stay at the Rum Doodle and both have been superb. I was met with a very warm welcome, including coffee and cake, and really well looked after during my stay. Very comfortable bed, great cooked breakfast using local products, close to Bowness for access to everything available on and around Lake Windermere. Lots of local knowledge...

We were greeted upon arrival by Gregor. Polite welcoming and very enthusiastic. We were provided with brownies and coffee (wouldn't expect this, very welcome addition to fantastic service) Gregor knew the area well and was very helpful with tips as far as places to eat and walk are concerned. We were shown to out room and were very very impressed....

Well......What a truly amazing house with the kindness and warmth of Emma who from arrival to departure was quite simply brilliant. The house is amazing and my Fiancée and I were lucky to stay in The Summit, room 9. The room was amazing. The bed was really comfortable and the décor, furnishings and ambience were way more than already described...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a  couple of nights in January.  I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this place. The breakfast and all round service was excellent. The B&B is beautifully thought out and the theme running through sets a standard for others to follow. The staff where warm, knowledgeable and friendly and they were catered...

On arrival, we were welcomed with some lovely homemade carrot cake and cup of tea which was nice. We stayed in room 1 which is as you enter the b&b and is located right next to the kitchen and breakfast room, this was fine, however, felt a bit too close for comfort. This being said it wasn't too noisy, however,...

Just got back from here and absolutely loved it. The room (The Summit- Room 9) was perfect and very homely. It had a separate sitting room which was so cosy. The breakfast was the best I've had from a B&B and there was a good selection of food. Rum Doodle was situated within walking distance of the lake and restaurants...

We booked the Rum Doodle B&B for the end of a walking/camping trip as a little treat. On arrival we were kindly offered some tea and shown to our lovely room (Constant). We'd already eaten and just fancied a quiet night. We watched a film from the amazing selection of DVDs downstairs and had some lovely cake. The bed was...
