We stayed here on Monday night 7th Nov 16. The Lamplighter was much more than I expected. Professional, warm, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. My husband took me here to help me recover from an illness. I have to say i did feel much better when I left. We had a meal which was fantastic. Starter: ham hock and...

I called this hotel to book a room a couple weeks before our stay and was met with the voice of a friendly and helpful member of staff. I don't know her name but sounded early twenties. On arrival we were greeted by a very professional member of staff who made myself, husband and 2 jack russell terriers feel very...

We enjoyed our one-night stay at The Lamplighter. The staff were friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The dining room was excellent for dinner and the breakfast was good. Our room was bright and cheerful with a nicely updated bathroom. We appreciated the fact that the hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the train station, public...

A very cozy and nice hotel in the beautiful Windermere ,Special mention of the chef , our best breakfast in the entire course of our trip made with a lot of love . The rooms were a little small but still comfortable . Shower water pressure was a little on the low side.

Have just visited for a quick break and have enjoyed my stay at the lamplighter hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, service was excellent and the food enjoyable. Would have been 5 stars but like many hotels these days the lighting in the bedroom /bathroom was not bright enough.

We stayed here with family and pets early September. Staff are very helpful and rooms are nice. Our room was very hot but it was a hot weekend. We are in the restaurant and it was good. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay just outside of Bowness and with dogs.

What a lovely hotel! Clean, modern, friendly staff and delicious food. All within a 20 minute walk of the lake. They also accommodated my veggie breakfast and the cocktails are fabulous! Highly recommended!

We recently stayed here for 1 night and were not impressed ! The outside looks lovely and on entering the bar area and outside terrace we liked what we seen however when we were shown to our room that is where it ended , the website describes the rooms being of a high standard however I would not agree ....

We recently stayed here as a couple with our little dog. He was welcomed with open arms and we cannot fault the stay. We found the whole of windermere welcoming to dogs which was helped by the (un)seasonally nice summer weather we were having. Breakfast was lovely and they even brought a sausage out for our dog. Would definitely stay...
