A very nice hotel, a lot of oak every where so has a slight Scandinavian feel. We had a basic double room with all the usual, tea/coffee making, trouser press etc which was very pleasant but the bathroom was a little dated. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool and spa but that looked very nice. All the...

Have stayed here before on several occasions, but on this visit had a room with an updated bathroom (211). Very nice indeed, although the bed did not seem to be as comfortable as before. I would imagine that hotel beds have a fairly short life span. Having ridden from the north of Scotland on a motorbike in cold weather the...

At the crossroads of the A66 and M6, this hotel has improved in recent years. One of its main functions is as a business meeting and conference venue and it provides a good service. Food is fresh and tasty and the standard and comfort of furnishings is above average.

After being shown an awful double room we had to upgrade to a premier as it was shocking for £135, making out room £160 - this was not value for money. The hotel it's self is situated in between the M6, Lidle and McDonalds - not the countryside hotel I was expecting. The staff were however very helpful & capable,...

I stayed here for one night as one our first get-away breaks as a couple once my boyfriend got his first car. When we arrived we were given our room key and we headed up. The room was lovely, fresh and had a view of the outdoor lounge area from our window. It was really clean and well equipped with...

We stayed here in between Christmas 2016 and New Year 2017. We wanted somewhere where we could stay and relax. This hotel was perfect for this. The staff where friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent and the Restaurant Manager knew his wines! The hotel is a short walk from the town centre so no need to get a...

Just visited this hotel with my boyfriend for the weekend and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The room was incredible, the bed was sooo comfy, the food was amazing! Never have I ever had a steak cooked to perfection. Breakfast was amazing every morning without fail. All the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The spa was so relaxing and...

The Maitre D' is very welcoming and friendly while being efficient and thorough. He's a good advert for the hotel and all of the staff were very welcoming. The breakfast choice is excellent :...

We stayed for 5 nights during our visit to the Lake District after Easter. The staff were very welcoming and looked after us extremely well. We were particularly impressed with the cuisine which was outstanding. Our son, who is dairy intolerant, was really well looked after and the chef went out of his way to make special dishes just for...
