Hi Came for a light bite yesterday and had a roast beef and horseradish sandwich- cost GBP5.40. Received only a thin slice of roast beef- really small and did not even reach the end of the bread- you could not taste the horseradish and hard to believe they could make a mess of a simple sandwich. My husband and I...

We have stayed here before but had a room at the back of the hotel so we weren't disturbed. This time we got room 3 right above the bar. So noisy we went down three times at 11.40, 12.05 and 12.30 to complain about the noise from the bar. It was a Sunday night so we didn't expect lots of...

Visited the hotel on a DBB deal for one night. Room was clean but smelt of smoke, they look better on the photos than they do in reality. Our meal was fine and the staff in the restaurant were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good too - including some biscuits for our dog. The real let down for me was...

We visit Keswick and surrounding areas more than 10 times er year. We often walk past the Kings Arms on main street Keswick and I have always wanted to stay here. I found a good deal for us on a Sunday night so had to grab this offer. We left the North East very early on the Sunday morning to...

We first visited for a 'night cap' drink and loved it so much, we went back most nights for the rest of our weeks stay! The bar area (open to non-residents) is a lovely and cosy. The Whisky shelf has the largest selection (over 40 I think), so plenty to choose from for a night cap! We didn't eat here,...

Think this was the worst Sunday dinner we have had. Raw vegetables, a cauliflower that needed a saw, new potatoes that seemed to pop with water when pierced and were total mush, burnt Yorkshire puddings and chewy beef that was fatty with horseradish sauce that looked like it had been out of its jar for a week. No one asked...

We turned up en mass as a group of 15, both adults and children were very well catered for and there was plenty of choice on the menu to cater for all palates. The portion sizes were very good and I was especially impressed at how they catered for the children who ranged from 2 months to 9 years old....

Location was superb right on the high street, plenty of pubs and places to eat which was good because the price of drinks in the kings arm were rather excessive over twenty pounds for two pints and two glasses of wine. Breakfast was very good.rooms nice and clean beds very comfy. All in all a very enjoyable short break

The Kings Arms is a pub with rooms. It is lovely and clean and the staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. We had room 8 on the second floor overlooking the square. The room itself was on the small side; the bathroom was equipped with generous sized shower gel/shampoo etc, lovely fluffy towels and ear plugs which came in...

We visited on a rainy evening , hoping for a quick bar meal. But the bar was busy ( and there were several people with dogs, which always puts me off when food is being served..) so we were shown to the dining area, down a few steps and thankfully dog free! Service was good and portions huge- I had...
