I spent a very nice weekend in Keswick with my friends. We arrived quite early at the guest house but Sophie gently welcomed us and showed us her house. Well located in the center of Keswick, everything was perfect. Sophie is a very nice host, she helped us organise our activities and gave us very good advice on what to... More

Sorry, but really disappointed with our stay.Sophie was very friendly but everything else was a bit poor. Room was large ,bed comfy and hot shower were a plus point. The towels, bedding and cobwebs in ceiling of shower need to be addressed. We were not given a key to bedroom door as a she said the locks don't work? Breakfast was edible... More

Although I am obviously disappointed that these guests did not have a good experience there are some issues that they had said that need to be addressed. It is quite wrong of them to suggest I told them the locks do not work as this is not true. I gave them the two keys they need - one is for... More

We received a warm welcome at the guest house, where we stayed for 1 night in the twin room with a balcony looking over Fitz Park. The room was spacious and clean, and provided all the facilities you could need (it was especially nice to not have to 'hunt' down an iron!) Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and you are... The host couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We had a room at the front, while it was spacious and comfy it could definitely do with upgrading. It could be such a nice room but had a very run down feeling. The shower also wasn't great. The breakfast again could have been better. The black pudding tasted very cheap.... More

We didn't stay here but we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea after a long walk with our dog Edie. We were made most welcome and the hosts were so friendly and a accommodating. Edie was very appreciative of the water as we were with the delicious cake, scones, tea and coffee. We'll be back!

Even though we arrived quite a lot later than arranged, Sophie was there waiting for us with a smile. The room didn't dissappoint and the balcony was even better than expected, spacious and with beautiful views. We felt very welcome and as if no request was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious. The town centre is literally 2 minutes walk away,... More

Well positioned for town centre and just a little further to lake front. Station Road was fairly quite and no pubs/clubs very close by to disturb our sleep :-) Made to fell welcome as soon as we arrived and allowed us to drop our bags in the room early as we were heading out for the day. It's a family... More

Let me begin with how nice the hostess was, and how much potential this place has. It's in a great spot within walking distance from everything The first floor room has its own private little porch which overlooks a park and has the river 50' off to the side, very cozy. Hot water enough to turn the bathroom into a... More

I stayed at Fitz Guest House on Saturday 16 April, with my sister for her Birthday. Fitz House is extremely homely. Sophie met us at the door and we immediately felt comfortable.
