On 2nd March this year my wife and I had booked a room at this hotel where we have often stayed on our way south on the M6 and were looking forward to a leisurely evening and the usual excellent dinner. Unfortunately just before we left home we were told that our ferry sailing from Belfast had been cancelled and...

I booked this hotel by mistake; it's a few miles South of Kendal and the walk comes in a couple of miles North of Kendal... However the hotel proved to be a pleasant place to stay. Food and beer were v good and the room comfortable. Staff friendly too. Thanks!

I rarely review places that already have reports in similar terms to my own experience. However a 4 night stay at this hotel warrants an endorsement of the justified comments that have been made by others. Good food, excellent friendly and helpful staff. Clean comfortable rooms. We had booked a deluxe which was a good size, not quite a suite...

Another Sunday spur of the moment decision , and we decided to treat ourselves to an evening meal at this local Hotel/Restaurant . Just off the M6 at Junction 36 on the old road towards Kendal there is plenty of parking and a nice level entrance .My partner nipped in to ask if there was space for us and we...
