Three of us stayed here as an overnight stop on our Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride. Absolutely nothing could have been better - the house is immaculately clean and tidy, and Sheila is as helpful as anyone could be. We had two immaculately presented rooms, clean and comfortable. Our bikes were securely stored in a shed overnight, and...

A superbly decorated property where every detail has been included to make your stay a positive experience. Beautifully decorated with quality and style in mind this property is outstanding in every respect. I stayed for three nights in May 2014 over a bank holiday weekend with a couple of friends on a walking holiday and felt more like a friend...

A brilliant stay at Bridge House while visiting a beer festival in a nearby village. Every need taken care of, early check-in, high quality toiletries. a comfortable bed and topped off by an amazing breakfast. Sheila is a great host, even making homemade bread for my breakfast. An impressive establishment, recommended.

Most B & Bs are great, some are superb, and some are simply outstanding. This was one of my all time top rated. We got a lovely warm welcome into a beautiful home. This wasn't separated into guests' area and owners' area - it was like staying as a house guest in a friend or family member's home. And what...

Sometimes you just cannot fault a place that you stay, Bridge House is one of those places. Sheila was the perfect hostess, nothing was a problem for her. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable and after a very long walking day coming from the other side of Dent, Sheila made me feel very welcome. I will stay there again on...

My brother and I enjoyed our best Dalesway accommodation at Bridge House. Sheila picked us up from the path and returned us to our route the following morning. Breakfast was a delight (all homemade produce) and our rooms were comfortable and well equipped with lots of little extras. It was a pleasure for us to meet a landlady who is...

Thank you to Sheila for a great welcome when myself and my daughter stayed at Bridge House whilst visiting my mum who lives up the road. Lovely, clean comfortable room and a fantastic breakfast with homemade bread, jams, marmalade. This was a house I had always wanted to look inside when I used to live in Kendal and Sheila let...

I didn't have a reservation, only a phone number and a recollection from a Trip Advisor review I had read before leaving the US, but I called when I got into town and got lost. Sheila answered the phone, asked me where I was, and said to she'd be there in five minutes. Five minutes later, Sheila hops into the...

This a fantastic guest house where nothing is of any bother to Shiella. Sheilla as a host was fantastic in advising on where to go and where to eat. The drive home was simply the best throughthe lakes to Penrith to the motorway. Great room and great breakfast. Why stay in a hotel?
