On holiday drove past the pub a few times and wondered if it was any good for food - well it is! Plenty of car parking, and a big play area - well that's the outside sorted. Inside the pub seems to have been totally refurbished, although not tarted up with fake charm, and there was a pleasant atmosphere. The...

My hubby and I came to this excellent pub for an overnight stay to meet a friend who couldn't make it to our wedding. We had booked a room and a table for some food beforehand. The Station Inn is approximately a 5 minute walk from the train station. When we arrived the staff made us welcome and when we...

Went for a meal with family and children, the food was OK or what you would expect for a traditional pub in the area, service was OK too, the playground outside is excellent for the kids which is the main reason we went. We did notice that the larger being served (stella and carling) was rather flat and served in...

I did not stay here but had dinner . It was a really good place to eat , food was delicious and the staff were really lovely . If you are a meat eater try the Lamb Henry. It is absolutely delicious. I am sure the rest of the food is equally good.

Me and my friends had an hour between trains at Oxenholme so we asked someone if there was a pub to go to and she told us about the Station Inn so we went in there and enjoyed our very brief visit. There were four good quality real ales from breweries in the North West, one of which was in...

Visited the Station Inn, Oxhenholme yesterday for a meal but was very disappointed. I was expecting Gastro pub quality after paying £19.60 for a rump steak and a side of onion rings (no drinks included in this). Unfortunately the meal looked totally un-appetising when it arrived. The chips were very thickly cut - perhaps too thickly cut since they weren't...
