I have had two meals in the very busy little pub in the last few days. both were very good. The fish pie was fantastic. Although the staff were extremely busy, they were pleasant and helpful especially the waitress that ran after use after my friend left leaving her glasses on the table. many thanks. We arrived here soaked with our 2 dogs after a 15 mile walk to have a quick pint. The staff were very friendly and the Oyster Stout was lovely and as we drank it the lady who runs the place dried our wet jackets. A very, very nice gesture, very thoughtful. We'll be back!

We called in for lunch and receive a warm friendly welcome from the staff. There was a great choice on the menu and everything was reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and my husband thought his pint of mild was one of the best he had had for a long time. Many thanks for a great lunch.

This is a cracking place to stay. The location is perfect for the South Lakes. The Hotel is set in the picturesque square. Rooms are clean and comfortable with the cosy bar below. There is a good choice of beer with excellent food. There is a warm atmosphere and have always enjoyed the stay over a number of years

Lottie went above the call of duty to make our night an unforgettable night. The food was excellent , the steaks were cooked to perfection & the Feta...

We were a group of 9 people who had a meal here and thoroughly enjoyed the service and the ambience too. The food was very good and those managing the service were competent and attentive. The starter of calamari was well cooked and tasty with their beef lasagne a real treat. Service at the bar was quick and a good...
