Beck Allans is located in the heart of Grasmere, convenient to shopping and restaurants, but tucked away off the street next to the River Rothay which flows through the town. We stayed in room 2 on the first floor which is spacious and has windows on two sides. The entire place is immaculately clean, the traditional English breakfast was top...

Yet again, a very comfortable stay with excellent housekeeping and good choice of breakfast particularly for vegetarians. Good car parking and central position so easy walk to find an evening meal or coffee shop.

Have visited many B&B's in the Lakes and then was recommended this one a couple of years back. It is absolutely superb... Location 5*. Room appointment and beds 5* (the latter are the best we've slept in anywhere!). Breakfast 5*. Friendliness 5*. Value for money 5* (we've paid £10 a night more in this very location and it hasn't compared).

You only have to read the reviews to appreciate the consistent rating of this excellent guest house. We have just returned home after our third visit this year and would fully endorse the positive opinions expressed by other guests. In brief, centrally located, private parking, tranquil setting alongside the River Rothay, a wild life haven (the ducks and red squirrels...

Stayed 3 nights over bank holiday weekend, could not have been happier. Ian and Christine are lovely hosts nothing is a bother. The rooms are spotlessly clean with crisp linen and fluffy towels. The Guest House is in the centre of Grasmere but nice and quiet as it is set back from the road in its own grounds, with the...

Breakfast, fresh fruit salad, creamy yogurt, full English breakfast, plenty of toast. tea or coffee. What more do you need. You even get Red squirrels on the...

We stayed at the Beck Allans Guest House in March 2017 for two nights. We don't usually stay at Bed and Breakfast places as we have had some poor experiences in the past. However Beck Allans surpassed our expectations! Christine and Ian were very friendly hosts and could not do enough to make sure our stay was good. We stayed...

The apartment is perfectly located in the centre of Grasmere with its own parking, which although we went in February, I imagine that will be invaluable in high season as parking in Grasmere could be limited. The apartment was a little dated in decor but was well equipped and although a little small was perfect for the two of us...

Lovely old building which is split into 3 businesses so parking issues occur. Be careful which room you book, 7 is tiny and overpriced at £100 per night. Everywhere is very clean and nicely decorated, beds are fantastic. Hosts are helpful and friendly but a little fussy ! Cannot fault breakfast, plentiful choice and not dripping in fat !!

Lovely guest house. Rooms spacious and spotless. Hosts were great and even packed us off with a slice of cake for our walks. Great choice for breakfast and was plentiful. We will definitely be back. Bed was comfy and the rooms were warm. Great views across the garden and the ducks visited in the morning.

We are located in the centre of Grasmere village, in the Heart of the English Lake District, 4 miles from Ambleside, 8 miles from Windermere and 12 miles from Keswick.
