We have just returned from our stay at Dale Lodge Hotel. We had the most perfect stay. the room was clean and comfortable. A lovely large bathroom with both a bath and Shower. Breakfast was delicious. the evening meal eaten in Tweedies bar was amazing. After the meal we were able to take our wine into the lounge area of...

This hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the country which I will visit again, as for the food that was nice the drinks expensive in the hotel at £2 cheaper in the pub situated at the rear of the hotel. The room I stayed in was number 16 it was clean and tidy but extremely small you could...

I went here with my family for a wedding at the weekend and found it to be a really nice venue. Staff were very accommodating and we were able to pop round to the excellent Tweedies bar at the back of the hotel. Next time I go up to the Lakes I'd certainly consider staying here again.

We stayed in a standard room with breakfast for £90. The room was small and basic but very clean and functional, as was the ensuite. If you were doing the walking trails you might find hanging up wet gear a little problematic due to limited space. There is ample parking which is at a premium in Grasmere. The wifi was...

Our 4th stay at Dale Lodge set in the pretty village of Grasmere. We couldnt have either of our favourite rooms, but was informed our allocated room had views over the courtyard Sadly we were very disappointed as this wasn't the case. Instead it overlooks an unattractive internal light well, and was very dark .They did move us at our...

Overall a comfortable friendly hotel - but they certainly know how to maximise their bedroom space! The Classic room is well... classically small and when you say Spring has sprung.. well it had in our mattress - room 18!. The staff were efficient and friendly despite several attempts at obtaining a soft poached egg for breakfast. There is no hotel...

A huge group of 47 decended on Grasmere for a weekend walking....the Dale Lodge accommodated the majority, everything was sensational...the rooms were tip top. On the Saturday we hosted our team dinner was held in their dinning room. Kate and Craig could not have done more to welcome us and make it a fabulous experience. The food and their attention...

Stayed in Dale Lodge for one night whilst going walking in Grasmere. Comfortable room with view of garden. Best breakfast in a long time. They definitely deserved the breakfast reward. Would definitely stay again.

Have stayed here a number of times over the years, and it is a comfortable hotel in a great location. Usually there is no problem parking, and the gardens are large - which is particularly helpful if you bring along your four legged friend. The staff are generally good - but Craig in particular makes the place tick. However on a...

Not a fan of leaving poor reviews and always look for balance. Unfortunately, for what I needed as a business traveller hotel failed to deliver and I've reviewed it as such. I checked in at 6pm without prior reservation - service at reception was quick and friendly. Primary issue though is that breakfast wasn't served until 8.30am. I had to...

I am so sorry that you had a poor experience whilst you were staying with us on your business trip. You were miss informed regarding the early breakfast this would most certainly been available for you even if it was just a continental. Also if you were leaving early you most certainly would have been able to have a refund...
