12 of us came here for a meal yesterday evening. The food was very well presented, and a good selection for everyone. My only two criticism would be was no table or drink service, we had to do everything our selves. Hence why we didn’t...More

Probably the best choice of cask beer around with Coniston Brewery in the building behind the pub. Lots of memorabilia from Donald Campbell’s water speed record. The interior is slightly dated but the food is good and the staff very welcoming.

Came in here many times whilst on a week's holiday to Coniston, with our teenage family and two dogs for drinks and food. Reasonably priced and food delicious. Very authentic olde worlde pub with helpful friendly staff.

What could be better, after a climb up the Old Man of Coniston than to stop off at the home of Bluebird beer. Excellent beer brewed around the back. Prices are good, service is excellent and after a hard climb on a warm day...heavenly.

Very dog friendly, my husky was getting petted by all the staff :) They even arranged a quiet corner for us on Christmas Eve so we could eat without other dogs going by (my dog wants to play with everyone)
