We stayed here for 2 nights, the comfortable room and en-suite bathroom were spotless. The food was excellent and the price included breakfast and a 2 course evening meal. There is a nice bar area with an open fire and an excellent pint of Loweswater gold. Must mention Jeff and all the staff at the Yewdale Inn who are all...

I recently stayed here with my family and on arrival we checked in with no problems and was made to feel welcome... the room did its job and was cosy although the toilet fan was noisy and scared my son so he had to go in the dark lol. That aside, we went for a meal in the bar area...

Many thanks for your review Nadine. We are pleased that you and your family had a great stay in Coniston. The noisy fan has now been replaced. As for the church bells, this issue has been with the church to rectify for some time now and should be dealt with soon. Most of the locals have accepted this for years...

I stayed at the Yewdale for 6 nights at the beginning of November and I have to say it was one of best all round places that I have stayed. Initially they did not have a room available for the Friday night but during my stay they moved heaven and earth to make a room available and very nice and...

Stayed for two nights at the Yewdale on half board basis from the Isle of Man.. Room 6 was good, clean with very comfortable bed. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious with very pleasant staff. Having hiked up Scafell Pike on the second day it was a delight to return to the Hotel on the second night knowing it would...

We ended up in the Yewdale Inn as the Black Bull was busy. I am glad it was ! We had a perfect evening at Yewdale. The bar staff and restaurant staff were attentive, but not intrusive. The food was amazing. In comparison this restaurant looked far better than our first choice. We would definitely go again. We had a...

Staying in Coniston for a week. Popped into The Yewdale for a pint then after seeing the food decided to eat. Lovely friendly atmosphere, excellent friendly staff, very helpful with local knowledge. Would probably given 5 stars if we would have stayed there.

We had a 3 night stay at the Yewdale Inn and found everything from the room to the tasty breakfasts and lovely evening meals were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just one point we had was as there were only 4 parking bays we had to leave the car keys at the Inn, which we had absolutely...

We picked this hotel on the recommendation of TripAdvisor reports. We had been there some years ago just for a drink, and since then it has been improved greatly. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and shown up to our dual aspect room, with a good view of the Old Man. Parking is a little tricky as they only have...

My family stayed here while visiting family nearby. This hotel has excellent coffee, the staff are friendly and welcoming without being overbearing or in your face with friendliness. I'm not entirely sure how they are both equally welcoming and familiar and not ever so much so that it's weird. We had breakfast and dinner, both were exceptional. I would very...

Stayed last weekend as a last minute getaway for my husband's birthday. We had to travel up after work so did mention this on the booking and we arrived at our estimated time of 9pm. We were given a warm and friendly welcome by one of the bar men who checked us in and explained about the parking arrangements. He...

It is a pity that this incident spoiled what was a very comfortable stay at The Yewdale but I make no apologies for my actions. The barman in question offered you sandwiches upon your late arrival and also mentioned that you could enjoy a meal at the excellent Indian restaurant nearby; he did not mention the takeaway option. When you...
