We were very well looked after, Cain was there to help with booking in, luggage to the room, and generally ensuring we were ok. Caroline, was very attentive and genuinely interested in our visit. We felt at ease and very much at home there. The breakfast was good and the evening meal, excellent. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great...

I stayed for one night whilst on a business trip, food was amazing all fresh cooked and so well presented more top restaurant than hotel, the duck was especially good. Room was clean and bright, bed ok, slept like a log. Good selection of local beers and to top it off a breakfast that was so good I can't wait...

Stayed here for two nights, what a gem of a place. Room was excellent, big, comfortable, light with large dual aspect windows, warm, fresh smelling and very clean. The bathroom was excellent, again very clean, great toiletries, soft towels and as much very hot water as you want. The breakfast was simply one of the best I have every had,...

Superb rooms, superb food. Good choice of beers. The bar does shut early but there are plenty of pubs nearby

Came for a family meal. Good portion sizes, freshly and lovingly prepared. Service good, although 45 minute wait from arrival to bing seated at table was a bit disappointing. The slightly slow service was a bit disappointing and the traditional decor and lighting could do with refurbishment. However, the quality and care was spot on.

We stayed over one Saturday night with the in laws and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is in the middle of town with a good car park. The building itself is classical and stylish with a lovely spiral staircase. The cooked breakfast was exceptional served promptly on hot plates. So often at some hotels food is served on...

What a beautiful place this was to stay. The bed was really comfortable... the water for the shower and just the normal taps came out really hot which was perfect. But the food was absolutely amazing... we only had breakfast but that came out piping hot. So overall it was well worth the £80 for 2 nights!! Thank you very...

My cousins and I enjoyed our second family reunion here. The hotel was very comfortable with lovely, hot breakfasts and an impressive array of home made jams. The meal at night was good - a shame the restaurant wasn't open on Sunday evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful and when I was suddenly taken off to hospital offered...

We stayed here for New Years Eve on our travels round the Lakes. Arrived round about check in time. Had booked through Booking.com and assumed that we had a double room as nothing to say otherwise on the booking. It was a twin. OK - fine. Very warm welcome from Scottish lady and younger chap. Felt at home. Room a...

We really enjoyed our stay at Manor house, very clean, comfy and friendly place. The only thing that let us down is the fact that they took the payment off us twice! When my partner called and let them know the lady on the phone was lovely and apologetic but 4 days later the money was still being taken. Unfortunately...
