We are a self-supporting adult residential college, run as a charitable educational trust, running both day and residential courses for adults of all ages across the arts, humanities and sciences. We are not actually a hotel or guest house (although we do have accommodation and, in between courses, we do occasionally have B&B or even a little self catering available, but we have ended up on Trip Advisor as they have no totally accurate category for us.

Exceeded my expectations. Arrived for a course....mostly courses run here tho they do offer B and B. Plenty of parking, beautiful common areas. The food was good and sufficient. Quirky boarding school style arrangement for this ex boarding school....a wee bell rings to tell

This hotel specialises in music and visual arts courses. Thus booking is often via the course rather than to the hotel directly. The food is excellent - simple but well cooked. Not all the rooms are en suite. Some rooms are in out houses which might be a problem if it is

Higham Hall bedrooms are individual & comfortable
Hi Mark, Thanks for your enquiry. As we are primarily a residential college, we would probably not have space on a weekend night like this as we will have courses. (We have not yet published our courses for October so we cannot yet allocate spare rooms - but it would be unlikely we'd have a double ensuite available then - although you could try closer to the time when we have an idea of what rooms are still empty. You might find our list of other good local accommodation in the About => General Information area on our website (google for higham hall) useful - sorry it won't let me post a link... Hope this helps! Thanks

"Free wifi is available in the lounge and dining areas."
"Not all rooms have en-suite, but you can book one if you like. Bathrooms seem to be quite close by the rooms if you don't have an en-suite."
"All the rooms are quiet, some have excellent views."
