The setting of the hotel was wonderful and the staff warm and friendly The room was large and plenty adequate ,but the bathroom was tired and could do with a refurbish He breakfast was standard we didn't partake of the cooked breakfast but those that did seemed to enjoy it Even though we were down after 10 hey we're still...

Stayed for 3 nights on a Groupon deal. Still waiting for the cream tea. We were in room 1 as room 5 into which we were originally booked apparently had a roof leak. The room had a double and a single bed facing a blank wall. The T V was to the right of the 2 beds and level with...

When we checked it we could not believe our luck, a beautiful area and a beautiful old house. The rooms were very clean and facilities good. Lovely breakfast and afterwards we went to the terrace to find peacocks wandering around. Lovely.

It's not too often we get a chance to take a break from our jobs in the city but when we saw a deal on Groupon for a short stay few days away in the Lakes we couldn't pass it up, especially when we read that this place was Dog friendly. Right from the off the management were easy to...

Stayed for three nights on a Groupon deal which included a very nice cream tea. Room 14 was at the back and was extremely quiet, although no view. If we hadn't seen people at breakfast would have thought we were the only guests. Lovely country house with beautiful gardens to wander round. The chap who tended the gardens was very...

Stayed in Room 9 fo 2 nights B&B. Breakfast was very good and enjoyed the evening meal we had on one evening. The rooms are slightly old fashoined but that is to be expected in a property of this age. The bathroom could have been cleaner and there was quite a few cobwebs in the room and bathroom as if...

Very pleasant hotel in a pretty location. Dan his family and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The characterful hotel is set within lovely grounds with views of the Fells. It has a choice of reception rooms with a very nice bar and lounge area. The bedrooms are clean and airy with all of the...

My parents and I stayed at Broughton Craggs Hotel on our road trip around England and Scotland. It was easy to find and off the main road so a gorgeous little hideaway. Staff were a little quiet at first but soon we made friends and even got to have a play with their puppy. Rooms were large and clean with...

Hotel was fine, room was clean, it was in a lovely setting, but staff were not friendly and the food dished up for dinner was awful.. For nearly £12 I would except it to be presented nice not throne on the plate, my husband sent his steak back 3 times and still could not chew the meat. The chips needed...
