This is a lovely hotel, amazing breakfast and also a great addition with their breakfast box which is full of goodies. The staff are attentive and very friendly. Many thanks to all and a special thanks for the former PC who gave me great instructions!
Good location Staff very pleasant Checkin fast & pain free Room very clean, bed very comfortable. Only one thing, our room could do with a bit of net so we didn’t have to have the blind Down, we could see into the house so they could see in our room. Didn’t need to much to drink As the floors are wonkey:) Breakfast very good. Definitely would say again. Thank you
Originally we were looking for places in Keswick but it seemed that many of the hotels had been booked up and this was the top suggestion from the next town ' cockermouth' that we had never heard of. It was everything we could have wanted. The location was perfect for our little family were made to feel so welcome thank you.
The hotel is 3 star rated but it provides 5 star service. The rooms immaculate and modern with all facilities you need. Breakfast really quite impressive. From the very first welcome the staff here really do go above and beyond to make you feel so special. Onsite restaurant is very nice too. Excellent location among all the beautiful independent shops restaurants and galleries. We will be back
Room spacious, good location, but quite noisy in the evening due to pubs on same street. We booked last minute and had to take the executive room that was dog friendly but two beds pushed together to form the one was an uncomfy sleep. The room was up some stairs too and not one offer of help with heavy crate/bags, that we had to leave at reception whilst we went and parked car (car park free only five mins walk though). Wifi good in room, room spacious and plenty of plugs and facilities. On checkout nobody on reception, nobody asked how our stay had been as nobody there to say bye or anything. It would be a nice idea to offer a bagged up cold breakfast and takeaway coffee as our dog is too bouncy to sit in the restaurant but. equally I would not leave him crated and unattended in the room, so we had a 150mile drive home without breakfast/drink to start the day. Would also be nice to provide a water bowl for dog and a blanket, most dog friendly accommodation in the lakes provides a couple of basic niceties for the dogs when staying. Very little amenities in walking distance for food on Sunday evening either as hotel restaurant closed and pub down street didn’t serve food in the evening. Overall I don’t think it was worth the £139 paid for one night and i’d probably only come again if cheaper and without dog.…
