I've only ever done positive reviews and if somewhere wasn't good I've always thought it's down to personal opinion, what I didn't like another may love. This time however we felt we needed to share our opinion of our stay. Thankfully it was only for one night as the room was of very poor standard. The shower and bathroom situation...

We had a lovely meal at The Log House a couple of years ago and decided to go back. We weren't disappointed. The fish and chips were delicious and big hearty portions. Service great and all staff really friendly. Value for money. We'll be back on our next visit to try the steak.

Dear JLRALR Thank you for the great review, could we ask that you post it on the Trip Advisor restaurant page as well as this was a food related visit and this excellent feedback would help other potential dinners.

My husband and I stayed at the Log House last Friday and we highly recommend it! The room was pretty and clean and well equipped with toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities and TV. The breakfast was second to none with a wide choice of freshly cooked ingredients. They offer a free parking permit for the car park opposite and the hotel...

Enjoyed a last minute stay in the Log House. A few minutes walk from the centre which has many places to eat and cosy pubs. Free parking opposite. Nice outdoor seating area and lovely bar inside. Breakfast was very hearty and tasty. Nice room, small but had everything we required including a nice view. No complaints.

Had an evening meal here with family and I was immediately impressed by the ambience and surroundings. It only got better as we had superb service and nothing was too much trouble. They happily changed a couple of things on the menu for us and one of our group who has some food allergies was easily and readily catered for....

The log house is a quirky hotel with history. Unfortunately the rooms are set in what was the attic, they are small with mis-matched furniture and low wooden beams. The room was clean and comfortable with a comfy bed, but set along the main road, there was constant road noise throughout the night. The free breakfast was lovely with a...

This is a restaurant with three rooms above. We stayed for one night in room 2 which is perfectly adequate. It has a small ensuite off the room. Complimentary hair & shower products are provided. There are tea/coffee making facility's, a small free standing tv and a hairdryer. Downstairs there is a beautifully decorated restaurant. The food was reasonably priced...
