We stopped at Wanslea Guesthouse from Sunday 26th October to Wednesday 29th October 2014. Guesthouse was clean, warm and tidy. We stopped on the top floor and the room was neither massive nor tiny, average sized for this type of older building. Room was clean and tidy with plenty of hot water. With our room being at the front of...

After booking the night before had 2 nights here & wasn't disappointed. Stayed in the Arabian nights room, good size comfy bed and clean. Lovely fluffy towels too. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it! Would recommend. Only down side was parking as car park is only small, although there's a car park 1 min down the road which you...

We stayed here for the weekend and it was fabulous. The house is within easy walking distance to Ambleside town and the rooms are presented very well. I'd recommend this to dog owners as our dogs had sausages for breakfast each morning courtesy of the host!

Stayed at the Wanslea for Halloween weekend, and I must say it was one of most pleasant experiences we have encountered in the Lakes. Spotless room, stocked each day with tea, coffee and mints. Richard and his staff could not do enough for us, from giving us extra towel's to helping us pick what to do on our non-walking day's....

Room was clean, characteristic, freshly stocked each day with tea (herbal too which was ideal), biscuits, fresh towels, bedding. TV with free view, Wifi which always worked! Really felt like we...

Booked last minute for 1 night. Warm welcome from the owners and shown to our lovely Arabian themed room, which was very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast to start the next day. Highly recommend staying at this b&b, great value for money and great location for visiting the beautiful village, Ambleside.
