Just spent a lovely couple of days here. On arrival we were welcomed by Richard. We checked in and went straight to our room, which we were very impressed with. The stay was a Christmas present from our daughters, so what a lovely suprise a four poster bed was as a bonus!! The room was very clean, spacious and a...

Lovely owner, who was very welcoming and looked after us well. The facilities were perfect for our needs as walkers. Comfy bed. Good shower. Big breakfast. Nice and quiet. I felt the value for money was excellent and for the price we paid we could not have reasonably expected more.

We had a wonderful weekend break in January for my birthday. The room was spotless. And warm and cosy. Hosts were very welcoming. Definitely be back. Only down side was the dining room was quite cold and beans would have been good with the breakfast . But that's classed as a first world problem and nothing to lose sleep over!

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. We were in the African room which was very spacious, warm, clean, and the bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath so after a days walking you could have a massage bath to ease those aches and pains. The breakfast in the morning was for you to choose from a full English...

We decided upon staying at the Wanstead guest house after all the excellent reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are all themed and we stayed in the white star liner room. The bathroom was really nice with a lovely powerful shower, bedding was lovely quality and there was a flatscreen tv with free to air channels. The breakfast was...

We are regular visitors to both Ambleside and this lovely Guesthouse and they compliment each other beautifully. It's always a pleasure staying here. There is a private car park, it is situated right across from Hays and therefore a short walk into the centre. The rooms are clean and tidy, the host Richard is warm and friendly and the breakfasts...
