We recently stopped here for a couple of nights. We were very happy with the accommodation and the friendliness of the staff and will definitely stay here again in the future. I must add that the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The Fisherbeck hotel is ideally situated for both Ambleside and the surrounding areas and a good base...

We have been to the Fisherbeck many times now, and it never disappoints. After the drive up, it is nice to be welcomed by a smiling face and a free hot drink. The car park was almost full on this occasion but there was still room. We have always been able to park without an issue. The room we had...

Beautiful hotel, in a great location. Spotless throughout. Our room was a family room and was a good size, lovely view of the fells and a stunning bathroom. Staff were all attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was probably the best we've had anywhere.......highly recommend the porridge with whisky sultanas and raisins. Raymond and Gillian were perfect hosts....

Just returned today from yet another lovely stay at the Fisherbeck. This is an excellent B&B in an ideal location in Ambleside-just a short walk from the town centre and the lake. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. The bedroom had all the facilities we needed including tea & coffee, hairdryer, clean towels daily and a comfortable bed. The breakfast...

Stayed for three nights for a walking weekend. Stayed in one of the garden rooms which was perfect for managing wet weather gear given the size and the tiled floors. Very comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom with bath and great shower. Good breakfast range, we liked the table service and there were plenty of staff. There was a great attention to...
