Rooms are the smallest ever, windows do not open and after you shower your tiny room is a like a steam room. Water spills to the floor in the bathroom and does not dry at all and there is damp damage in the bathrooms. Customer...More
Excellent position, lots of restaurants nearby and only a short walk to bus station. Public areas have been redecorated and are comfortable. Games in bar which was a nice touch. Our bedroom was big enough but basic and tired. Bed so low I struggled to...More
I think this hotel has seen better days and is in need of TLC here and there. The first room we were given wasn't very clean and the bedspread was stained. After 2 mins in the room the ceiling started to drip! We think shower...More
Excellent selection of real ales. Food was somewhat disappointing. Meat cooked well but vegetables very poor.

Yes the Hotel has a car park for about 8 cars being a town centre hotel and over the years the subsequent owners sold the land off for the buildings that now exist. Consequently, parking is on a first come first serve basis. Double parking was once in place to allow for more cars to be parked, but it was not always satisfactory to park this way. There are several car parks around at reasonable rates, and car parking spaces in front of the Hotel free of charge from 6pm till next day 10.30am.
