Our 7th visit to the Regent and we were not disappointed. The weather was perhaps frightful outside but the surroundings of the hotel helped us to enjoy a lovely weekend of rest and relaxation. The food was up to the usual high standard. The chef was only too happy to cater for a gluten free diet and was very welcome...

We spent more time in the hotel than we had planned due to a particularly wet weekend but the hotel was great and the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were all helpful and friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy giving good service, which is not as common as it should be. The room was well decorated and furnished...

Not having been for a while I have enjoyed a wonderful break here at The Regent. The rooms, decor and staff are just as good as ever. We took advantage of the Steak offer which was very tasty and well presented. We look forward to another offer soon.

Four of us stayed in superior rooms which were excellent and covered all our needs. The food was outstanding both in the bar and restaurant with exceptional breakfasts. All staff went out of their way to make this weekend special. Will most definitely return and recommend this Hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last 15 years and it never disappoints. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable .The rest of the hotel is also decorated to a very high standard and spotless .We enjoyed 3 evening meals , 1 from the bar menu and the other...

Our stay at hotel was lovely, the room was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. The hotel has a lovely relaxed...

Fabulous location - good for a stroll in and out of Ambleside. Nice rooms and clean. Modern, clean look on entry and in the bar however the dining area is dated and the service is not great. Plastic table covers and not cleared and cleaned correctly at breakfast. Staff nice but not attentive. Food really disappointing. - considering all the...

Stayed for two nights everything was perfect. Our dog accompanied us on our stay and was even provided with water bowl in room and was welcomed in the bar area. All the staff were very attentive and professional. Ate both nights in the hotel sampling both bar and restaurant menu - make sure you are hungry as very substantial meals...
