We had a short stay with our dog and found it to be one of the best b&bs we've stayed in - although breakfast is actually taken next door. We stayed in room 2 on the ground floor. It was a good sized room with a comfortable king size bed with an ensuite shower and wc. It was freshly presented...

We took two adjascent rooms for the family. Beautifully decorated, good water pressure in showers, great coffee, friendly and very helpful staff, centrally located and decent price. Definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed as a family group, 3 couples in 3 rooms. The welcome was warm & friendly, nothing was a problem and we were put at ease straight away. We had 1 dog with us in a ground floor room and this was no problem. We were able to use the apple pie cafe next door for breakfast, which was...

Just back from 3 days in Ambleside. Rooms and bathrooms are small but fantastically put together and great value for money. We have paid double in larger hotels in The Lakes so this break was definitely value for money. Location is in the centre of Ambleside so close to all pubs and restaurants for your evening dinner. The Apple Pie...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we changed rooms just after check in as the one we booked had one of the small glass windows missing which made the room feel cold. I must say that this place is perfectly positioned to see and explore the surroundings however please note that there...

We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary and had a fabulous weekend. The room was lovely, especially the decorative tea lights in the fireplace. We arrived earlier than planned on a very wet day so appreciated being able to check in earlier. The wineglasses and corkscrew in the room were a thoughtful addition and the Fell Top Gingerbread each...

We stayed here in December 2014, a really lovely hotel in the centre of Ambleside. Very friendly staff and traditional rooms made for a fantastic visit. It is right next to the bakery of the same name, meaning that the breakfasts are delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

We stayed here for two nights, we arrived late, so the hotel sent us info, to gain access. Arriving late, it was dark and sub zero outside, the room, was toasty hot, modern and clean. Fresh milk is a nice touch for a brew in your room, we would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. Breakfast next door...
