Lovely guest house with parking, friendly hosts and super breakfast to keep you going up the fells. Our room was spotlessly clean and although small very comfortable. There is a large lounge if you want to escape and have some quite time with a good book. The staff are very helpful and extremely courteous. would recommend no problem.

Excellent location, plenty of parking, great breakfast, welcoming friendly hosts and a very nice lounge which means you can relax in comfy chairs rather than be confined to a bedroom as most B&B`s offer. The room was a tad small, but the lounge made up for this.

Have been severely times but this time was disappointed with stay. The shower was blocked with hair and we were told that it has not been cleaned all season but would only take few moments to clean!! also it was so hot in breakfast room. when ordering breakfast we didn't always get what we ordered.

A wonderful lakes house now a guest house. We had a nice big room 1st floor (no 7) great views. Best of all this place has a good sized car park on site (a rare thing in ambleside). Close to all the pubs/restaurants etc. Breakfast - fresh fruit bowl is good, Cooked breakfast was standard level - good but nothing...

Clean and comfortable rooms, delicous breakfast, owners/staff very friendly and acommodating. Great location, near hiking. Convienient to many destinations in the Lake District. Much prefer Ambleside rather than Windemere. Quiet rooms. Could use a bit of updating decor. WiFi not available in all rooms. Best WiFi in comon areas and lounge.

Stayed here over BH weekend.Staff were very helpful on arrival and our room was comfortable, although the four poster was a little rickety - we also had some issues with our shower which were quickly sorted out. Breakfasts were very wholesome and you certainly wouldn't go hungry. Accommodation is very well located for Ambleside centre and car park is a...

This great little B&B is easy to find and it is about a 4 minute walk in to the village of Ambleside. The breakfast was fab and our room view was 10 out of 10. If I come back to Ambleside again, we would be staying at the Dixon's B&B again. Well done and we'll see you soon.

The Dixons were most hospitable and attentive and they made wonderful breakfast and sandwiches. The room and bathroom were very clean and nice too. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, beautiful setting with a nice view to the common green and local church.
