A perfect retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Gorgeous rooms, beautifully decorated, every detail has been thought through carefully. We stayed in the Dawson suite and loved it - the bathroom is 'out of this world' with the most enormous bath as well as his and hers basins and a huge shower. Breakfast was...

We stayed at Randy Pike for 4 nights and everything was perfect! Very peaceful, lovely room and the food was delicious!! It's worth staying a number of nights just to try the different breakfast options; however I can heartily recommend the full cooked breakfast the breakfast granola, the kedgeree and the homemade muffins. Chrissy and Andy were lovely hosts as...

As soon as you walk through the door of your self-contained suite you know you are in a very special place. This was our second visit to Randy Pike but in a different suite. The attention to detail is what makes this boutique B&B stand out from the crowd with huge gilt mirrors, vintage style dressers, White Company bedding, large...

We stayed at the Randy Pike a few months ago with a couple of friends. This is a really quirky, individual establishment. The rooms are very well presented and there has obviously been significant investment in their presentation. The beds are very comfortable and of high quality, as is the bedding. We had a really private, quiet, relaxing time with...

A proper retreat from the rigours of everyday life. It's the detail that matters, and there's loads to go on here. Beautiful furnishings, decor, and especially luxurious bedding. Breakfast in our room was superb. We didn't want to eat out in the evening, asked Andy where the takeaway places were, and he gave us a menu then organised a taxi...

We have just returned from our second visit and it was as wonderful as our first. Andy and Chrissy are the perfect hosts - warm, welcoming and generous. Their attention to detail and the legendary breakfasts make this an ideal and luxurious base from which to explore the Lake District. A visit to the delightful Jumble Room in nearby Grasmere...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Randy Pike is our home on the outskirts of Ambleside in the heart of the English Lake District. Once a Gentleman’s Hunting lodge on the Wray castle Estate we have just recently returned it to its former glory... Randy Pike is Lakeland's sexiest new bed and breakfast, and yet B and B is it truly in its very simplest form, the suites are large and luxurious that have kept the character and feeling of that iconic neo-gothic era and yet marry perfectly with the all the modern facilities you'd expect with Vi-sprung beds, cloaked in the very best frette line and plump crisp pillows, there's a flat screen tv, i-pod dock, tea and fresh coffee. The Showers are the size of a small country, warm, funky and sexy... there's truly nothing out there like them. Andy and Chrissy Hill ... more   less
