Service was definitely not with a smile, I ordered the steak pie I'm sure this dish was served as a stew as it contained potatoes, carrots and mushrooms never came across a pie like it dreadful disappointing .

Went for dinner on Sunday eve over BH weekend.
Glad booked as v busy.
Staff v attentive and courteous.
Food delicious and plentiful.
Would definitely recommend steak burger!!
Only downside no beer garden
Called in for a quick pint while staying in Ambleside. Lovely old fashioned pub but not many seats in the bar area. Interesting building though, had a nice pint. The food did smell good but didn't eat here as we were eating elsewhere later.
Stayed 2 nights with colleague on 3 days walking trip. Good pub having previously visited 20+ years ago.
