We have just returned from a four night stay at Nab Cottage which was truly wonderful. It's location is perfect for walking, we didn't use the car at all during our stay! Tim, Liz and the team were so very welcoming and we were thoroughly spoilt with amazing food and hospitality. The cottage has a real charm and a calming...

I stayed at Nab for a weekend yoga retreat and had a great weekend. For a low price retreat this place was perfect. The converted barn was made for yoga and the vegetarian food provided was second to none. 3 course meals and amazing puddings! I also used the hot tub which is in the garden which helped to soothe...

We have just returned from a three night stay at Nab Cottage. We were greeted by Tim and the offer of tea and cake (delicious) in the sitting room, very peaceful with a lovely fire. Although the guest facilities of a sauna and hot tub were mentioned we were never shown them or offered again. Unfortunately our en-suite shower (room...

I had the pleasure of staying at Nab Cottage for 12 days. I was in an 8-day course that was held in their remodeled Barn. Nab Cottage is truly delightful. It's a small B&B, about 10 rooms I think. Some have private bathrooms "en-suite", and some have a sink in the room and the toilet and tub/shower are just outside...

Booked Nab to show my Australian Husband something authentic in the lakes, visitng for the first time. I deliberatel.y chose it for its ethos and history. But its a bit of a shame when you arrive somewhere and look disapointed, and then spend your entire stay eyeing other b&bs through lit windows. Oh, and sleeping on such a slope its...

We enjoyed four nights at this historic cottage which is charming in a creaky way and the position wonderful being right on the lake. . The room was small but comfortable and the food was excellent. Our hot breakfasts were both hot and tasty and the homemade bread was great. Not only did they have internet access but it was...

We stayed in room 4 great window seat and view of Rydal Water. Superb breakfasts and great location. Shower was great good supply of toiletries and towels. Lots of help with walks and drying boots as necessary. Separate tv room and welcoming lounge. It must be said however that the floors are very creaky and our bed was on a...

“Whilst in a beautiful location, the cottage is on a road, so rooms at the front will inevitably be noisier than those at the back - but then the rooms at the front have spectacular views of the lake ..... take your choice!”

“Front if the house has views overlooking Rydal water, but traffic from road. Back of the house has views of hillside and sheep and quiet. Some en suite rooms, some shared bathroom.”
