Wonderful location. Val & George more than welcoming, We have stayed here many times now and just love having breakfast looking at the birds visiting the garden. The room and bathroom are superb with even fresh milk available for your tea/coffee at all times. We will return soon!

Another comfortable stay at Red Bank to be looked after by George and Val. Room immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast top class. We know we are in good hands when we stay here. Lots of chat. Advice about eating places, walks, shops, travel. There are the little things too. Fresh milk in the fridge on the landing, a communal corkscrew (!),...

Good to see you again visiting Red Bank. The 3G signal has improved and would you believe there is even 4G depending on the network BUT you still need wifi. Hope to see you again later this year.

We have visited George & Val at Red Bank on at least 4 occasions for midweek/weekend breaks at various times of the year. George and Val are always welcoming and nothing is to. much trouble. They are always willing to give advice on places to visit and places to eat. The bedrooms are essentially large, light and airy and spotlessly...

Thank you for your comments. As many guests have stated we are only a few minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside and our private off road parking next to the house is a bonus in Ambleside. Look forward to seeing you again later this year.

A very comfortable, clean, well maintained B & B. The reception from the hosts Val and George was very friendly and welcoming. Location is very good would definitely use again as first choice if visiting Ambleside. The best B & B we've stayed at.

Our latest visit to Red Bank didn't disappoint! We stayed in the blue room this time and the room was lovely and warm despite the freezing cold weather outside. The private parking, friendly hosts, great breakfasts and proximity to the town centre make this the best B&B in Ambleside in our opinion. The lounge area for guests to use was...

Good to hear you enjoyed your stay with us again. The Blue Rm is one of the most popular rooms due to the separate bath which many people enjoy after a day out walking. The wood fire really warms the central part of the house and after a day in the fells it is great to sit around with a...

This was excellent! The location, the welcome, the cleanliness and the house were all amazing. Definitely the best b and b we've ever stayed in. George and Val are lovely and friendly, their advice on local area is excellent!. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. There are finishing touches everywhere, from the lovely toiletries and gown in the...

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfasts. Quiet area and very handy for the centre of Ambleside. Lots of attention to detail and the glass of sherry left out on the landing was a lovely touch!

My wife picked out red bank online based on availability, existing reviews, location and the off-road parking. The reputation of this B&B is fully deserved and this review will really only echo the words of others; excellent hosts, good food, immaculate accommodation, great location. We would definitely return and would recommend to others.
