I'd booked what they call a "cabin" on the top floor -- very small (but fine for me even at 6'2") and nice and cosy with a great view of the working harbour and the sea beyond. The breakfast is freshly cooked, and there is a good choice of fresh fruit, pastries, etc. You make your own tea & coffee... More

Stayed there this wk end, had an absolutely fantastic stay. Staff very friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble, we had a family room which was big enough the bed was comfy. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice, we dined in the onsite restaurant and it was first class then upstairs to log fires board games with the children... More

Stayed here for one night when delivering some items to a local firm. Good welcome, but didn't like the fact that they took a swipe of your card which is then removed when you check out, this can take 3 days to refund . That is unusual for a hotel. However, the room was lovely with a little balcony, tea... More

Me and my partner stayed here on a whim on Friday night, and although it was a last minute booking, we were disappointed with our room. Not only was the room freezing cold (with the heating on) the door got stuck and we had to use brute force to open it! As far as the heating goes, there was one... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Royal Harbour Hotel in November with our labrador. As dog friendly hotels go, this was fantastic! They set us up with a special table for breakfast each day, and our dog was allowed in the lounge and the downstairs restaurant - we couldn't have asked for more when it comes to a dog... More

We have stayed several times in this very attractive, quirky, cosy, friendly hotel, and always receive a warm welcome. The whole place is lovingly decorated and maintained, with all sorts of imaginative little touches. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and the lounge feels like home, with an open log fire and deep sofas, books, even a record player and LP's.... More

I have stayed here a few times but haven't been foe a few years, the rooms are excellent, superbly decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. The view from the front of the hotel is of the harbour it os worth getting a room with a front view if possible. I would definitely stay here again.

The whole stay was superb. A quirky hotel, with a lounge, comfortable feel. The staff are superb and manager David even lit a fire for us when we came in from the rain. The owner James came to meet guests. The food was delicious, worth a visit even just to eat. Ramsgate is not an ideal place in parts but... More
