The friendliness that comes across from the reviews is fully justified. Manager could not do enough for us. Building a little old-fashioned (our 'en-suite' was across the corridor) and the room was tiny. Lovely sea views and very handy for the ferry terminal. Shame about Dover!

This house has a lot of character. Our host Robert is friendly, helpful and eager to please. It is convenient for the ferry and for walking the prom. Great views to sea and a lovely lounge. Some rooms require climbing two flights of stairs. The only downside was breakfast. Whilst the cooked breakfast was lovely with toast there was no...

This is a very old house and as such is kept to as good standard as can be expected. Close to ferry (great views from dining room and room window) but traffic can be bad due to ferry queue. Breakfast was good and prompt. Host friendly. Room has sink and bathroom has carpet. Can be quite creaky. But location is...

Wanting to avoid the samey chain hotels, my wife and I chose Loddington House for our weekend in Dover. It turned out to be a good decision. The Pink room was comfortable, with a view of the sea and the harbour beyond the main road along the coast. We had the continental breakfast and enjoyed it very much - the...

The owner of this B&B is very kind and the breakfast was lovely. We sat in the day room for two evenings and it was very pleasant. However, we had a lot of difficulty sleeping in the Victorian room, as the bed was very creaky and every time we rolled a certain way it let off quite a loud noise....

Greated with a very warm welcome, and the host was friendly, knowledgable and checking in was easy. Our room was clean, cosy and comfortable, with a great view of the sea. We woke up refreshed and ready to start the day. Breakfast was served exactly at the time we had asked for, the full English was served hot and was...

We spent two nights at Loddington House prior to a cruise. The owner is very friendly, stopping to chat with us several times at breakfast, and readily available to answer any questions we had. The hotel sits on the seafront, although our room faced the cliffs. It is a historical property, but the owners have made upgrades to the extent...

I haven't stayed in many B & B's but this met all my expectations. The owners were lovely. The ambience, wonderful. I was traveling with a bike - no problem - locked in cellar. 5 min stroll on to ferry. I had to leave early so didn't try breakfast.

We came here the night before a 12 day Disney cruise to Iceland and Norway. The place was clean and comfortable. I just wish we would have thought ahead and packed one small overnight bag to carry up 2 flight to our room with a view of the white cliffs. I knew there was no elevator but didn't think it...

Having never stayed in a B&B before, this was a terrific beginning! Although situated very close to a main truck route, it was very quiet, and peaceful. We had a great view looking out over the bay, with the White cliffs just behind the building! Dover castle is just a short walk up the hill, and there are restaurants on...
