We stayed at the Canterbury Lodge in June 2015, as our main location for day trips in Kent for a few days. We had a room in an adjacent building, clean and comfortable, but no A/C. It was warm the 3 days we stayed, and the nights equally warm, with difficulty sleeping. Otherwise, the staff were very helpful and attentive,...

A huge "thank you" to a close friend who suggested this hotel as a venue for our annual School re-union for the Hong Kong Class of the early 1960s. It was an immediate hit for all of us gathered together this year in Canterbury as it is located inside the Cathedral grounds overlooking the Cathedral. The Lodge is not only...

Reception staff were very welcoming & pleasant. The breakfast was easily the best we have experienced; better than most five star hotels. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned & presented & the young waiting staff attentive & efficient. It was wonderful to be staying in the centre of Canterbury in the shadow of the beautiful Cathedral. Sadly the poor standards of...

Dear Reviewer Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am delighted that you received such a warm welcome and will be sure to pass on your compliments to our breakfast Chef. Please do however accept my apologies for the problems experienced in the room. We usually receive very positive feedback for our Housekeeping standards, so I...

First class in every respect with an outstanding location. Breakfast is served in a wonderful spacious room with plenty of natural light and the food offers an wonderful combination of choice and quality. Excellent decor throughout, wonderful shower pressure (unlike many hotels), parking for £5, amazing views from the rooms, and free access to the Cathedral (saving £10.50 per person)...

Wow, what a lovely environment in which to have a drinks reception. The staff were so friendly and thorough in sending around many interesting canapés - answering the "what is it?" question time and again I am sure! I wish they had more non-alcoholic options for teetotallers like myself, but lovely aside from that. You get an up close view...

Stayed here for one night en route to France. What a wonderful surprise. We were expecting it to be a bit out of the ordinary from all the blurb & the reviews but were quite blown away with the idyllic setting & the quality of the hotel & rooms. We could only get a ground floor room on booking [not...

What a very nice stay I had. Staff very friendly and helpful. It is a good idea to arrange parking within the grounds very early before visit. You can park just outside as well. The hotel can give you 24 hour tickets for £6! Food great! Would go again.

While traveling from London to Brighton we stayed at the Cathedral Lodge for a night. It was a beautiful building beside the Cathedral. Breakfast was good and the huge street mall and shops were only in the next street. In the morning we went for a run along the top of the stone city wall.
