We stayed two nights at this hotel in October 2016 and found it a good base from which to explore Canterbury. It is within easy walking distance of the cathedral, it has a good restaurant and the staff are pleasant. BUT make sure you view the rooms available before you accept them. Some of the back rooms upstairs are very...

Great B&B just 20 meters to the centre of town. We stayed in a great family room that could accommodate my wife and our three kids easily. The room was recently refurbished and the bathroom was beautiful. Clean towels and heated towel racks were a dream. Walking distance to so many food and entertainment options as well as all the...

I loved the Pilgrims hotel. The location is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and breakfast were good. All wonderful. The only thing that threw me for a loop when I checked in (and almost made me leave) was that the single rooms are absolutely the smallest hotel rooms I've ever seen. Probably about six feet...

Thanks for your understanding Judy; in a 400 year old building the small rooms really are what they say they are in the description. Full of character but compact so we do try to accommodate as many people as possible in the larger doubles and family rooms. Unfortunately we are generally sold out at quite an early stage so we...

Hotel was conveniently placed and with helpful staff. Our room was a bit small, and as it was in the roof and south facing, it was rather hot (although this was one of the hottest September weeks for years).

It was an exceptionally warm September wasn't it Paul but it's all cooled down now! Soon we'll have the fire going in Hotel Reception and we know our autumn/winter guests really appreciate how warm and cosy the hotel is. We will have extra fans available for next summer.

We had booked a room for 3 adults and got a suite with separate bedrooms. The hotel was very clean and the cleaning spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were 2 restaurants you could go to, one proper British and the other one with a slightly more French touch. The hotel is located just across from a...

I booked a single room for two nights while attending a conference. The room was a good size, and very well-appointed. The hotel staff were all extremely helpful, and the meals I had (breakfasts, and an evening meal in the Dems brasserie) were very good. The hotel has an excellent location, and is extremely good value. I would certainly recommend...

Thank you for your recommendation - it means a lot to us. Yes, we have many repeat visitors who love our location and proximity to the Cathedral, the high street and everywhere they wish to visit within the city walls. Perhaps you can come again when you don't have a conference to attend, we'd love to see you?

Booked two rooms for an overnight trip. Very pleasant rooms but well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location being just off the high Street and close to the Theatre. We had to leave very early in the morning and was offered alternatives as we were too early for breakfast.

Had to pay for parking in a nearby public car park, but £6 for 24 hrs (from the hotel) didn't seem unreasonable for Canturbury. Room rather small, but quaint and comfortable and not too noisy despite facing the Marlowe theatre. Food very acceptable in 'Dens' the associated restaurant, and breakfast just what we needed.

Thanks Rick - yes, we can currently give the best value city centre parking for pretty much anywhere in the south of England so good that you could take full advantage of it. Yes, the Marlowe Theatre is directly opposite the hotel but the latest shows finish around 9.55 pm, approximately and the audiences are rarely rowdy or noisy! A...

There is no lift in this little inn but staff always carried our luggage up and down the windy staircase. Our room was small but we had a queen bed, armoire, desk and nightstand. The staff was very accommodating. You have a choice of eating in two places; the hotel bar/restaurant or a cafe with piano bar called Dems. The...
