I stayed here for a night after my work Christmas party. Room was quiet, a good size, bed comfortable and clean as you'd expect. Staff at check in & check out friendly & efficient. Only gripe is the shower temperature wasn't very consistent, but that's all. Booked a few months in advance so got the room about 50% cheaper than...

The hotel was very easy to find and close to the main highway. It is a smaller hotel in an older refurbished building but retaining many original features. The staff were all excellent, especially the reception team. Rooms were as you would expect from a Mercure. WE were there with friends and we ate in the restaurant for both dinner...

The hotel itself is a bit tired and in need of a bit of additional work. The room was adequate - small bath which took an age to fill and a bed that kept rolling away from the headboard. The bar areas are a bit bleak and neef some comfortable seating. So,heading for a score of 2 or 3. But.......

Room not bad for price, £95.00 Single but could have been a bit better, quite dated. Location really useful just off M25, lots of parking. Bar staff really helpful and bar food good. Reception staff need training for sure. I found it very bad that I could not BOOK a room at reception, I had to do it online or...

The main building is nice and characterful and the reception was quite friendly. We were pleased to be upgraded to a superior twin, although it was fairly basic nonetheless. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom very adequate, although most rooms seem to be located in a pretty characterless extension of the building. The breakfast room was very nice and not...

Met a potential client for coffee in the bar/lounge area. I arrived 30 minutes early and decided to order lunch. I ordered sparkling water and a sandwich. The bar lounge area furniture is tired and needs replacing. The water arrived in a warm glass with no ice. I'd ordered a large bottle which had never seen a refrigerator. Although when...

Mercure. Mercure I always thought was a high end 4* hotel chain with attentive staff who wear tailcoats. I recently stayed at the truly awful Mercure Sheffield Parkway and now here.
