A group of us have recently stayed at this hotel to celebrate my daughter's bridal shower. On the first night we ate in the hotel, wow, the food was amazing, the best meal of the whole weekend. Unfortunately, for us, they were full the next evening so we had to book somewhere else. The staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly,... More

A friendly welcome where we were guided to our room with info on the public areas on the way. Our room had decor in keeping with the Edwardian style of the building while remaining mostly practical. There was a useful storage area and a decent bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room dark and quiet enough. A couple of... More

Back in October I've stayed for 3 nights together with my parents who came over to visit me and had a great stay. Everyone was really friendly, a feeling that made us feel like home. Lazaros one of the managers was great offering us local information and guidance as well as an exceptional service. Also the Italian food was gorgeous.... More

Me my beautiful wife and three boys stayed here while we had a short break in London. We loved the hotel, very nice and clean, great polite staff, and safe off road parking. We stayed in one of the cottage / apartment family rooms, clean and tidy, and comfortable beds. Rooms kept very warm and had to have the window open.... More

What a lovely welcoming hotel this is. I stayed on two separate nights and had two different rooms (both doubles) I had booked a single but it was not a problem to upgrade and both rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable. The first room was small but it was so well presented that it didn't matter. There are tea... More

Spent three nights here, the room was ok, a little small and the bed seemed a bit small too. Main down side was the shower which was poor, to the extent that I put off washing my hair till I got home as it would have taken an eternity as there was such low pressure! The general decor was dated... More

Booked this hotel after its high tripadvisor ratings. We were checked in by a woman who looked like she swallow a wasp! (Other reviewers have had the same experience. We were clearly an inconvenience, 4pm in the afternoon.) It was such a let down, room 1 is a twin over reception, you hear the door banging constantly, the view is... More

I was booked in to stay here for 2 nights as I was sent to the area on a company training course. I was given a warm welcome on reception, given information about the hotel such as bar location, restaurant menus and where to have breakfast before being shown to my room. My room was clean and spacious. It was... More

Nice hotel a bit off the center of town but cozy and clean. The staff is very friendly. A 10 minute walk and you at the center off st Albans a nice small town with wanderful pubs and a lovely cathedral.

We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival, then found all the staff to be very helpful and chatty. Having booked a standard double, we were upgraded to a superior double which turned out to be very nicely decorated, with good amenities, although no extra floor space than a regular double. Being an interior room it was warm so we... More
