Very nice boutique hotel. my room was facing the road but it was not noisy. rooms are fairly small but have everything you need. Restaurant was good with decent food and good selection of wines. Worth a visit if staying in the city, much better than the the others locally

On recommendation of friends we joined them for the Sunday lunch (fixed price £25); consisting of a soup, carrot and coriander!, a cold buffet of seafood and cured meats followed by a choice of roast beef or roast chicken, smoked haddock, seabass, fish pie and a couple of other dishes so something to suit all tastes including a vegetarian dish,...

Attending a special lunch at this great hotel - we had a private room for 24 people and received excellent service. The space worked well and they catered for a 'french style' brunch which included soup, buffet of cold meats/fish/pickles/breads/main course and desert with champagnes and wines. The only downside is the parking in Winchester over the weekend of the...

Maybe a bad evening but uncooked food and incorrect dinner orders were below expectations RESTAURANT MANAGER YOU SHOULD TIGHTEN UP TRAINING AND OVERSIGHT as this lets down the overall good staff and experience. Good location, free parking, close to centre on W, good choice of hotel if restaurant is working properly.

This was the venue for our wedding back in 2008. Everything about it at that time was stunning. We returned several times over the next three years but then an Army posting took us away. Returning to the area recently and considering it for a family party, we decided to take friends there for lunch as a treat for us...

Thank you for letting us know about your recent dining experience with us. It is disappointing to hear that this visit fell far below the standard of service & food you have known from Hotel du Vin in previous years. We stayed one night after our wedding in May 2014 in the Comtes de Champagne suite. A lovely room, with bath in the middle and big shower room too. Lovely sheets and bed, and great breakfast. An expensive indulgence as we live a couple of hundred metres away but well worth it. Great service too

I've never liked Sundays. Childhood memories of enforced church and a migraine to follow have seen to that. So I find distractions, nice things to make me forget what day it is. A day in Winchester followed by a night at the HduV is about as good as it gets, especially when there are deals to be had. Staff were...

The hotel itself is lovely, with a beautiful restaurant and court yard at the back. The hotel rooms are all very well appointed apart from two areas: the lighting is designed to create ambiance which I get however when trying to work there is simply not enough light available! The second issue is that the desk is covered with a...

Excellent hotel, with very professional staff. The rooms are very pleasant in this boutique hotel. The hotel is located very centrally and has a good car park.
