Thank you for your question. Technically it is possible to walk into Winchester, many of our employees do, but I would not recommend it. It is approx. 2.5 miles and it is a busy road, which is not lit well for pedestrians when it gets dark. It is also on a hill, which means 'up hill' on the way back. We do have a bus stop directly outside the hotel and Reception will be happy to provide you with a bus timetable, or they can help you organise taxis. We do have a specially reduced rated in place for our guests with a local cab company. There is also the option of park and ride in Winchester too. I hope this is of help, but please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of the reception team at the hotel on 01962 670700 if you have any further questions.
