Not a bad place, good food and reasonable beer. Decor is good and staff friendly, visit normally on business as not to frame from ocean quay. Tends to be the the go to venue for business meets in the area, is a little pricey however

Just come back from a business trip after spending two nights in this hotel. The rooms are beautifully done and you can tell you are as far away from a chain hotel as possible! The breakfast was lovely too. Really tasty and big portions all freshly cooked. Only slight down side was the beautiful original sash windows meant it was...

Enjoyed a rendez-vous drink/meal at the White Star, was lovely albeit minor issues of table not clean etc. The food and hot beverages were good, as was the service provided, and the cost turned-out to be fine !

Booked for breakfast as part of a friend's birthday celebrations. Having previously eaten here we were expecting to be wowed as we have always been in the past. However they were short staffed and the pub was cold. The food when it arrived was a mixed bag, 3 of us really enjoyed out food but 2 were a little disappointed....

Stayed here one night. Hotel had an issue with no hot water, but had managed to secure another room nearby if we so wished. Big tick. Then also offered a very good discount if we still wished to stay here. Another big tick. We decided to stay here and with the aid of the four kettles that were delivered to...

Upstairs we booked in to our room which was over the bar so we expected it to be noisy but surprise it was fine . The Inn...

Great apartment, location and amenities. There are not enough outlet to charge 2-3 devices. The stair is a challenge if you is not travelling light. Very good breakfeast. Waffles with pecan is a sin..

After some disappointing and over-priced stays in chain hotels in and around Southampton, we were looking for something a little different within walking distance of Ocean Village. The Oxford Street area is a historic part of the city, and since I was last there now has a great choice of bars and restaurants. The White Star is definitely a gastro...

I've been here with work colleagues for lunch on a few occasions, the service was slow, food was however very nice. We were perhaps one of three tables in the place eating & food took quite a long time to arrive and though it was good, not sure it was worth the wait. I've come to expect slow, disorganised service...
