I ended up being homeless for a few weeks as was between houses and contracts fell through. I had stayed at numerous other bed and breakfasts around the polygon and eventually checked in to try the city park guest house. After leaving a message to say I was working nights and needed a room to be ready in the morning...

Very convenient for the theatre as short level walking distance. Very clean, friendly and reasonable. Only down side is parking but you can usually find something nearby. Not far from the city museum which often has interesting art exhibitions.

I have stayed at City Park Guest House on several occasions and have found it to be a really good place to stay. The lady that runs it on the owners behalf is amazing. Nothing is to much for her. She makes everyone feel welcome. I have just read the previous review and was quite surprised that the person making...

I booked this guest house through booking.com for my daughter who was travelling alone from Aberdeen and arriving 11pm at night. It was made clear at time of booking that she would be checking in late and at no point was this raised as issue until the day after we would have been able to cancel the guest house with...

We arrived a few days early for our cruise departure. The room was comfortable and the bed was good. The toilet in the ensuite was very cramped. However, there was a shared toilet just outside which was much more comfortable for lengthy sittings ;-) Christine, the manager, was awesome. Nothing was too much trouble. She even did a load of...

Got really surprised with the kindness of the staff. The room was cozy and had en-suite bathroom which is always nice and doesn't appear on every hotel of this price range. Totally recommend give it a try.

Great reception and ease of booking in. Nice quaint en-suite room with no 'hitches' one normally experiences. Great VFM. Great location for the city centre and 3 minutes walk to Southampton Central Station.
