Nice room, clean and exactly what o expected. Restaurant food was okay but the only thing that doesn’t make it a 5 star review is the slow service and time for food to come out in the restaurant. They were still very polite though.
This Premier Inn is nicely situated. Very clean. I also left something in my room when I checked out and they called me to let me know. Also, even though this is at the airport we were not disturbed by planes.
Very nice hotel. Clean and tidy . Lovely breakfast. Roon was big enough for family. Air conditioning working perfectly. Staff knowledgeable. Will definitely go again as easy in easy out. Only let down was parking that wS £6 to pay.
Very poor service from start to finish - the self checkin was hilarious as the touch screen was difficult to manoeuvre - people in restaurant waiting over an hour to receive there orders - breakfast wasn’t much better as you had to queue - to find empty trays - tables left uncleared due to staffing issues. Nearly forgot dirty bed sheets left under the bed and stained walls by the side of the bed. Comfy pillows and mattress though.
Hotel was ok Breakfast had a group of Rugby players eating and the breakfast team couldn't cope with staying guests and the rugby team that had arrived. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated then another 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Then another 7 minutes for the croissants to be baked...plus constantly asking for things to be filled up ... very embarrassing for me and my family!! terrible we just wanted to leave but had already paid!!!!
The service at dinner was terrible. We were told there would be a "short delay" with the food but it wasn't served until almost 2 hours later! With four hungry kids this was not a pleasant wait. In addition, despite giving our car registration details at check in and paying for a night's parking, we have returned from holiday to a parking charge notice!! A disaster of a stay from start to finish.
The Hotel was alright, we had evening meal and drink in our room, My husband had to go down and order, collect it in 15 minutes. he paid cash Haddock & Chips, and i had double cheese burger & chips.It came to £36 When my husband brought the plates back he told the Barman who was foreign, about the food, Plus you advertise room service. Bad did it ourselves.
The room was damp, the aircon was dirty, the extractor fan in the bathroom was also dirty. The showerhead was broken. They didn't make up the room in the morning, telling me that I "should know that you have to explicitly request this!" I was schooled on how "things work round here" and gaslit with accusations of "how would you feel if I came into your house without consent??". Despite showing parking as included, I was charged £18 on leaving. The site is shabby, the rooms are dull, and the staff overtly aggressive. I'll not return.
Car parking charge has gone up to £6 per day. Checked in at 9.30pm last night (24/7/22), received a warm welcome. No water bottles in the vending machine. Air con lovely and cool! Triple glazing windows. Some building works going on so there were less spaces in the car park than usual but still lots of spaces remaining at 9.30pm at night. Our room had single USB sockets each side of the bed but no shaver socket in the bathroom. (NB: There were also 3-pin sockets at the desk/dressing table (x2) & hairdryer (x2) if you need a normal 3-pin socket. You can’t pay for the car park until leave for the final time and then you are given a QR code by the Reception staff and scan the QR code into the parking machine to pay on contactless/by card. We didn’t use the restaurant/breakfast room so I can’t comment on those.…
We waited 40 minutes for are drinks and over one hour for dinner. When it came my steak was over cooked. The person having the gammon and eggs where over cooked to. The offer us a free drink for the wait and then charged us for it. Breakfast was just as bad. Old sausages eggs mushrooms and bacon. No muffins out. I will NEVER stay at Southampton Airport again.
