I have stayed in this hotel twice in the last few years and both times it was lovely - the staff were friendly with really comfy beds and a good breakfast in the morning. The hotel is also situated close to the shopping centre of Southampton and has bus links straight into town.

Friendly staff, Good service and good breakfast. Decent amount of parking although I was surprised to find only one spare space when I arrived. Room was in the neighbouring annex which felt distant and was sadly disappointing. It was disappointing to be trooped over to the neighbouring building through a dodgy looking front door to find a tired room.

We would recommend The Elizabeth House Hotel. Managed by owners who live on site, it has a more personal ambiance than big chain hotels. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the freshly-cooked breakfast is very good and all the staff are extremely pleasant. The small hotel bistro has an excellent menu and there are also several restaurants close by –...

I stayed for only one night but it was good. On arrival the lady at reception was a little abrupt but otherwise all staff were very nice. No evening meal available on Sunday but breakfast was good. My room was in the front with a bay window and light and airy. Bathroom modern and worked well. Overall the hotel furnishings...

Two work colleagues shared a room with two twin beds and a private bath. Both the room and bath were sizable and we were comfortable. The English breakfast was excellent. We will definitely try to stay here when we return.

Stayed here in February before going on a cruise from Southampton. Have stayed here before and are never disappointed. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well decorated. Good fresh cooked breakfast. Lizzies bar offers good selection of meals in the evenings but is not open at weekends. There is always a friendly welcome from the owners. The hotel is about a...

Arrived just before check in, but lady on reception allowed us to go to our room to drop bags. Although polite maybe a smile or eye contact would have made us feel welcome? Breakfast was superb and well cooked. Would stay again, lovely room.
