We have just returned from 2 nights at this wonderful campsite. I honestly cannot believe previous reviews about the wardens as everyone we came across was absolutely lovely. OK they do have rules but they need them to protect the beautiful surroundings of the forest...More

Great long weekend. Even though campsite was full it never felt crowded. Easy access to cycle trails, shops and pubs within easy walking distance. Cattle and horses roaming freely through the campsite. Not too noisy. Mostly peaceful and relaxed. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. Superb...More

We visited this campsite this weekend. We were 3 couples and 2 kiddies. We also knew some of the people who had camped adjacent to us. Well, from the minute we arrived, we were quite clearly 'marked' as the ones to watch and for the...More

Stoves and BBQs running on gas or charcoal are allowed. No wood fires are allowed, due to the large risk of the fire spreading. So this means no campfires. Hope this helps!

This is a campsite, so there are very few facilities other than toilets, showers, and the washing up area. So unfortunately, no kettle.
