We booked a Peppa Pig World break for my partner and I with his little girl. We booked via Paultons Park 'breaks' and when we arrived we walked a short distance to the sea front with a park, amusements and fair rides. We then spent the rest of the afternoon swimming in the hotel inside heated pool, then after a...

Spent one night at holiday inn in Portsmouth UK so that we could be close to the ferry for the trip to Isle of Wight. The room was clean and beds reasonably comfortable. However breakfast was disappointing as the variety of food was not in evidence. For the amount of money paid for the stay, travellers should, keep in mind that...

Just spent the last weekend in Southsea and Portsmouth. Having read a few reviews on TripAdvisor I was a little unsure what to expect. I need not have worried. The hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking onsite, a warm welcome at checkin and our room was ready! Although the room was a little small, as was the bathroom,...

Dear AMPtravelchic, Thankyou for taking the time to review your stay with Holiday Inn Portsmouth. We are delighted to here that we exceeded your expectations. We had happy memories of staying here when it was a Crest in the dark ages! There have been changes, some good, others not so good. Things got off to a bad start because there was no one on reception - we waited a number of minutes and eventually someone appeared, having obviously been eating her lunch when my husband rapped...

As stated before this hotel is definitely more Southsea than central Portsmouth. I found the directions to the hotel to be lacking. The reception staff were friendly and the room clean. The bed was uncomfortable and the bottom sheet barely covered the mattress. The pillows were almost as flat as pancakes! The restaurant staff at breakfast were friendly and explained...

Attended for a business training session. The queue of cars to get in the car park was hectic early morning and clearly not enough spaces. Luckily I was advised by another guest I could obtain a free permit to park on the street from reception. Other delegates were not that lucky and ended up paying out for street parking that...

The Holiday Inn Portsmouth could just as easily be called the Holiday Inn Southsea as it is on the very border between the two about a 20 minute walk from Portsmouth Gunwharf Quay but very near to the Southsea’s Clarence Pier. The hotel is one of the older Holiday Inns and despite being refurbished had a slightly old fashioned feel...

Stayed one night at th Holiday Inn, Portsmouth. The room rate per night for an executive room and breakfast of £324.00 was exesssive. This was probably due to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Round the Island sailing race being on that week. Room was clean with views over the Solent. I would not call it an executive room....
