Bright sample of eclipse of British Empire. From very 1st step inside there is feeling that one has returned to 50ties of XX century, even a bit of naftaline parfume is present. Yes it's not the first freshness, last furnishing perhaps from 80ies or even more early- but! Bed was comfortable Lux A+++/five stars level. The view from from window (...

The entrance was OK. The bedroom itself was reasonable and the bed comfortable. I wouldn't think that any decorating had been done this centuary. Paint was chipped and scuffed. Wallpaper was peeling. The bathroom was dingy, dusty and generally unpleasant, as for the shower, I dare not go in it as I was afraid what I might catch, there was...

Its ideally situated for several good pubs, Gun Wharf key and the Dockyard, HMS Victory and Warrior. It has some parking and wifi in the bar area, the place does need a facelift but certainly the room we were in was clean and very spacious it had a view of the Spinnaker tower and warrior. Breakfast was very good. There...

Only good thing was evening receptionist. Breakfast awful. Room horrendous with torn curtains, worn carpets. I could go on. Even if inexpensive does not justify this hell hole. Location great but I fear this place is not safe. My mum is partially sighted and didn't dare use the lift on her own nor was there sufficient lighting in the room....

My husband, mother in law and I spent one night in this hotel and cancelled the other 2 we had booked. We were greeted by an elderly gentleman on reception who couldn't find the key to the room for my husband and I. He repeatedly asked if he had already given my husband the key then said we could have a...

Yes it's a bit tired.. But it's a delight to visit somewhere that hasn't had the soul taken from it. The rooms are large and clean... In fact didn't see any dirt anywhere. The staff are helpful, friendly and even seem to be pleased to see you, and that doesn't always happen in hotel receptions. The location is perfect for...

Its true the hotel could do with a good dose of spit and polish, worn carpets and spoiled decor could do with replacing. But look at the plus points. The hotel is very central, the staff cant do enough for you, the breakfast is wholesome and plentiful, the rooms are warm and everything works with a good shower. The parking is free,...

Whilst yes I agree the Keppels Head Hotel is frayed on the surface the room staff, concierge and the breakfast staff more than make up for the frayed edges of this Hotel. The breakfast selection is lovely, the dining room spotless and the friendliness of the servers excellent. When on arrival I was informed that they do not serve lattes...
