A few miles outside the good parts of Portsmouth - Southsea, Historic dockyard etc... The hotel cant be that old, it looks newish from the outside. Once inside though it's starts going downhill in terms of decor. My room was large but not much else good to say about it. Decor 1990s and a period 1970s artex ceiling. The bathroom...

I was disappointed with this hotel, the rooms were basic, pillows lumpy, windows did not shut properly, shower leaked, there were no deadlocks on the door, and there was no soap in the bathroom. Staff were nice and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights, the staff were very helpful and accommodating doing their best for the customers but they were very busy and they do work very long hours. We stayed there for the Goodwood Revival. The Inn does need a bit of updating and TLC, we had an issue with a room which was promptly sorted but...

We took two rooms booked 2 days before our stay. The friendly service at our late check in was welcome, but no hot water less so. That there was still no hot water 8 hours later when we woke up is fairly inexcusable. Overall a £49 per night type of place charging well above its value.

We recently stayed here to go to the Victorious festival. The hotel was clean and the room was very big (we stayed in 228). The bed was super comfortable and we had everything we needed, such as tv, free wifi and a hairdryer. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The hotel has a function room and whilst we...

We stayed on Sunday 29th August for the nearby Victorious festival in Southsea. The check in wasn't possible until after 3pm so we left our bags with reception to check in later that night. When we arrived back just after midnight we found the desk completely unmanned (our luggage could easily have been taken) after waiting ten minutes for the...

Booked very last minute and despite getting a 'deal' at £70 for the night I really wouldn't stay here again! The hotel is run down and really needs a refurb. The staff are friendly but the hotel is just let down by it being very dated and not very welcoming. Our corridor had a very strange smell as did our...

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights - had read the mix of reviews but decided that if dated decor was the main complaint, it was something my hubby and I could live with. Arrived at reception and was checked in within seconds with no pleasantries and no eye contact - pointed toward a door and told "upstairs to...
