Recently refurbished, Rowlands Castle Travelodge was extremely clean and comfortable and excellent value. The receptionist could not have been more helpful. An ideal location for exploring Portsmouth and the surrounding area.

We wanted the explore Portsmouth area for a couple of days and found this ideal. Quiet and well away from the frenzy of the immediate coast but within easy reach. We had a friendly welcome and a comfortable room. The next-door 'Harvester' was convenient for breakfast,

We stayed in a family room on the ground floor, the room was spacious with a put up bed for our son which he found comfortable enough for a couple of nights stay. The double bed was very comfortable. The room was very quiet, and as others have said, right next door to a Harvester which served up a very...

Situated near a Harvester and the main road but very quite and comfortable. Only 3 miles from Emsworth which is a lovely town with good places to eat. Only about 10 miles from the Portsmouth outlet shops at Gunwharf Quays if you decide to visit there use the park and ride it's an excellent service.

Very helpful and friendly staff, quite surroundings. Clean room and fairly comfy bed. Not the normal place i would to stay for two weeks but was pleasant stay and great value for money. Only down side is the easy walking distance eatery - Harvester but still OK for a couple of dinners.

Unfortunately the first room I was allocated to was not good. 1) The strong “musky” smell coming from the carpet was pungent indicating the lack of airing or cleaning of the room; 2) This caused me several irritation on my respiratory tract; 3) the smell was sometimes confounding with urine smell - again possibly due the high level of “spore/fungi”...

Over the years I've stayed in probably every travelodge in the country, and this is the quietest location I've stayed! Rooms are nice and clean, lovely pleasant staff, free car parking, excellent!!! I would even drive a far distance to stay at this one it's that's good!

This is a small Travelodge, well away from the road so quiet. It was clean, comfortable and nice and warm in a cold January. A twin room only provides one hand towel, although two bath towels, but the reception will get you an additional hand towel very promptly.

We stayed one night at the Havant Rowlands Castle. There is a Harvester pub across the car park (great breakfast), but the village is only about a 30 minute stroll where there are plenty of pubs to get something to eat or drink. The staff were friendly in the hotel and a recent refurb meant the room felt fresh and...

Booked this hotel for overnight stay before funeral. Plenty of coat hangers for change of clothes. No case stand so had to put case on bed for access. Clean and tidy room. Shower had large showerhead. Lovely and quiet so good night's sleep. Restaurant nearby for breakfast.
